A
bit about me. My name is Sandra Roberts and I'm a journalist and publicist
with 20 years experience in newspapers and magazines. Most people know me
as Skip, a nickname I inherited when I moved to New Zealand from Australia
in 1990. It began the day I began work on the Auckland Star. A very dear friend
of mine, Sue McPherson, put a sign over my desk saying "This is Skippy". I
viewed it as an affectionate welcome and, having worked in the magazine world,
I know I could have been called far worse.
After the Auckland Star, I worked for the Sunday News, New Idea and Woman's Day, focusing on entertainment related stories. Since having two beautiful daughters I have freelanced as a journalist and publicist in the film and live entertainment scenes. I am privileged to work for entertainment figureheads including Gray Bartlett and Ian Magan at Pacific Entertainment, John Davies of Arkles Entertainment, Robin Scholes and Ross Jennings at Screentime Communicado.
Thank
you
Sandra
