Auckland’s Aotea Square | 20 June to 20 July
Whether you’re a pro on the blades or trying ice skating for the first time, everyone’s invited to join the winter magic right in the middle of the city!
This year’s line-up is packed with themed nights to keep the energy high:
- Student Wednesdays – Skate with your mates and enjoy midweek discounts
- Skate & Date Thursdays – Romantic tunes, soft lights, and perfect vibes
- Groovy Fridays –DJ beats from a booth on the ice to kick off your weekend.
Auckland’s Aotea Square is marking 12 incredible years—with over 250,000 skaters gliding across its ice since 2012. The Auckland season will launch with a special Matariki Opening Night, featuring a live DJ spinning your favourite Kiwiana hits.
Behind the Ice
- Rink size: 30m x 15m
- Skates available: Approx. 400 pairs
- How it’s made: The rink is built on a specially constructed deck, followed by layers of insulation and 6-metre-long aluminium panels. A powerful chiller is installed, then water is added and frozen to create the perfect skating surface.
So, grab your whānau, rally your flatmates, or bring your work crew—Paradice Ice Events rinks are the place to be this winter. Whether it’s a fun family day out, a romantic night under the lights, or a Friday evening filled with music and mates—don’t miss the coolest event of the season.
